Congrats to Gerald D. Posey!! Didn't know that was his name, guess you learn something everyday...a little surprised at his pick...thought for sure with all the hype, that he would go first, but a 1st round pick is awesome!

I hadn't even heard of the kid the Royals picked, hope there making the right decision with this Eric Hosmer kid. He's a HS !1B from Florida, saw a little blurb on him last night on Baseball Tonight, sounds like he should move fairly quickly, has the potential to hit for power and they said he is already pretty good defensively and he throws in the mid to low 90's if they decide he can't play first, maybe he could do a reverse Mike Stodolka (a Royals #1 pick from a few years ago who went from pitcher to 1b).

#13 Brett Wallace from ASU to St. Louis. He was projected as high as #17 in what I had seen previously.

Miami has also had two players taken in the first 18 picks with Yonder Alonso going #7 to the Reds and Jemile Weeks #12 to the A's.
