Joshua Fields and Gordon Beckham will both go in the first round this year. Fields is more likely to go during the first round than Beckham is though.

Our senior pitcher Musgrave played in a league this summer, and when asked who the toughest player he faced all summer was he replied, "Gordon Beckham". The kid hit a line drive at his hip, at least he's not hurt .

I think that if Aaron Crow has the type of season that he is projected to have, he will definitely be a late first round pick. As much as I don't want to see him go with one year of eligibility left, he's a kid that have a quick impact on the professional level. He doesn't need a whole lot of development in the Minor's because he's just a natural born competitor and will rise to any occasion that he needs to. Crow is kid that WILL be in the majors in the next 3-4 seasons.
I know with all the recent hype around stats and sabremetrics that a lot of people turn to the stats page to determine whether or not someone will be good. But I still believe in the fact that some kids just have the mental make-up to be excellent players in the Majors. Crow is a prime candidate in this sense -- he has pretty good stats in college, but he's a hard nosed competitor and wants to be the best at whatever level he is playing.

I see Putnam being drafted by a NL team. He will probably develop into a good number 2 pitcher and would be a great hitting pitcher.

Daniel Webb projected to be taken 18th by the Braves is a Kentucky recruit. Alex Meyer projected to go 32nd by Pittsburgh is another recruit. Scott Green projected to go 34th to Baltimore is currently a pitcher at Kentucky who will probably go after having TJ surgery 3 years ago. Robbie Ross projected to go in the 3rd is another recruit, and Andy Burns projected to go in the 4th is another recruit.

I don't know if it's a good or bad thing that UF has no one on that list? Of course we do have a pretty young team, and I'm not sure how many players are actually eligible for the draft. I do know that signee Tyler Thompson has been talked about, but no clue what round.

I've heard both Shocker players on the list Aaron Shafer and Conor Gillaspie's as being possible late first round picks by other publications.

They were talking today the Mizzou has 4 pitchers that could be a 1st round top 5 draft pick as their years come.
So Aaaron Crow if he keeps it up im taking him to be a 1st round 3rd pick.

Where are those other publications sekshocker? Sorry I didn't get back to this sooner. But Baseball America was one, that said they both could go as high as late first round or early second round. This was after Conor was named MVP of the Cape Cod league this summer.
