The draft is fast-approaching in June, and as we draw our regular seasons to a close (a matter of series left), we are now thinking of which players from our teams will have a chance of getting drafted by an MLB team.
For Fullerton, we have (rankings in Big West): Erik Komatsu (#5 in OBP, #7 in SLG, is in top 10 in triples and stolen bases) Josh Fellhauer (is in top 10 in hits, AVG, runs, triples, stolen bases and total bases)
I can't think of any pitcher from the Titans that is draft-worthy. Most of our pitchers have ERA's in the 4.00 range.

Florida has a relatively young team, can't really think of anyone whos eligible or will get drafted. Maybe a pitcher or something. As for Mizzou we have Aaron Crow who's arguably the best pitcher in the country. Our #2 Kyle Gibson is also supposed to be selected within the first 3 rounds. Senior OF Jacob Priday is also supposed to go pretty early, not sure who else is gonna go.

Chris Deanes, Virginia Wesleyan, Throwing 90-94 tops and a good slider, Struckout 44 in just 28 innings as a closer. 2.68 ERA, scouts say he should make draft because he's shown to be strong and durable.

Barry Bowden, our ace, is problably going to go in the first 5-10 rounds....great changeup and a fastball that can range anywhere from 90-95. One of the best pitchers in America.
Tyler Conn our closer should also make the top 20 rounds. He is the NCAA leader in saves with 17...along with an 0.64 ERA (2 ER on the year), nearly 40 Ks and just 8 walks.
Trey Sutton has been battling injuries all year and is still managing to hit .301. While thats only a shell of what he did the last 2 years (.353, .365) its still productive and he is borderline impossible to strike out (only 14 Ks on the year)
Brian Dozier, our shortstop should get drafted, but not high enough to make him leave. Hits .340 and has an absolutely fantastic glove with unbelievable range. Unfortunatly he still needs to work on his power.
James Ewing, another junior, is our leading hitter this year at .380, solid but not great glove at second, but very consistent. He needs to work on his range.
and finally Chris Matesich...doesn't nessesarily have all the tools, but you cant argue with results, .328 average and the best clutch hitter on the team. He should get a chance somewhere.

I'd have to say IU's draftable selection is slim....only 5 eligible and 4 are seniors who were not drafted last year. Take a look at Andrew Means ("faster than snot"...is what my dad says) and also starts for the football team as a safetY??? (I think)... I've seen Kyle Gibson pitch...who's he playing for?? He was a Mr. Baseball candidate along with my son two years ago.

Senior Blake Stouffer Junior Kyle Thebeau Junior Kyle Colligan Junior Luke Anders Junior Jose Duran
Those are the most likely some other seniors and juniors will probably be in low rounds, but won't leave. Duran will probably be the highest overall out of all the Aggies, I'd say top five rounds.

Almost half of our team will be gone. That's what it's like every year. Going in the first round according to Baseball America's mock draft we have two players - Brett Wallace and Ike Davis.

Conn (14th rd to Det) and Trey Sutton (20th rd to SF), both seniors and will sign with teams that drafted them. also Billeaud (18th rd to CWS) and Leach (27th rd PIT), these are underclassman, will decide whether to return or go pro soon also Chad Poe (2009 signee to PHL in 27th rd) and B.A. Vollmuth (2009 signee to HOU in 32nd rd)
