Komatsu (8th round by Brewers) was the latest Titan taken first in the draft since Jordan DeJong (who made his debut last year) was taken in the 18th round in 2002.
Six Titans all in all were taken, including Jeff Kaplan (11th round by Mets), Cory Arbiso (22nd round by Yankees), Adam Jorgenson (26th round by Rockies), Joe Scott (41st round by Brewers) and Jared Clark (45th round by Angels). Scott and Clark were drafted lower this year because of Scott's injury and Clark's slumps.
In addition, 4 Titan signees were also taken, including supplemental 1st rounder Michael Montgomery (Royals), Jarret Martin (19th round), Kyle Whitten (22nd round) and Tyler Pill (38th round).

Barry Bowden, our ace, is problably going to go in the first 5-10 rounds....great changeup and a fastball that can range anywhere from 90-95. One of the best pitchers in America. Tyler Conn our closer should also make the top 20 rounds. He is the NCAA leader in saves with 17...along with an 0.64 ERA (2 ER on the year), nearly 40 Ks and just 8 walks. Trey Sutton has been battling injuries all year and is still managing to hit .301. While thats only a shell of what he did the last 2 years (.353, .365) its still productive and he is borderline impossible to strike out (only 14 Ks on the year) Brian Dozier, our shortstop should get drafted, but not high enough to make him leave. Hits .340 and has an absolutely fantastic glove with unbelievable range. Unfortunatly he still needs to work on his power. James Ewing, another junior, is our leading hitter this year at .380, solid but not great glove at second, but very consistent. He needs to work on his range. and finally Chris Matesich...doesn't nessesarily have all the tools, but you cant argue with results, .328 average and the best clutch hitter on the team. He should get a chance somewhere. Conn (14th rd to Det) and Trey Sutton (20th rd to SF), both seniors and will sign with teams that drafted them. also Billeaud (18th rd to CWS) and Leach (27th rd PIT), these are underclassman, will decide whether to return or go pro soon also Chad Poe (2009 signee to PHL in 27th rd) and B.A. Vollmuth (2009 signee to HOU in 32nd rd) I tried all last year to figure out what scouts saw in David Clark over Ryan Belanger. Now I will spend this year trying to figure out what scouts saw in Leach and Billead over Barry Bowden.

yea i dont get it either...im sure Bowden will end up somewhere though Bowden signed with the Burlington Royals Sutton did not pass physical and may not be offered a contract by the Giants, not sure why he didnt pass. Also, Billeaud and Leach decided to go pro.
