Welcome to the first NIT baseball tournament! Each regional will have there own poll. Members will be allowed to vote for 2 teams they think stand the best chance of winning. Please look into this and don't just vote for the top two seeds. This link will help you (click on a team and it shows there resume) www.warrennolan.com/baseball/2008/rpiThis is how the winner will be decided. After the poll is locked a random number will be generated and will decide the winner of the regional, and will advance to the super regionals. Here is an example. The team's numbers is decided by there percent of total vote. 1. Baylor (1-50) 2. New Mexico (51-75) 3. Creighton (76-95) 4. Jacksonville State (96-100) The team with the number chosen will move on. Happy voting...

Clemson was better in every category compared to Oregon State.

Unlike a lot of people...I don't pay attention to numbers...I look at results.
UK played a TERRIBLE preconference schedule...But we finished 4th in a the 9 bid SEC...
Why were we a 3 seed? We beat Florida in the regular season...We finished ahead of a 2 seed Vanderbilt (beat them in Nashville though I wouldn't have wanted to play in their regional)...
The only SEC teams that finished with better regular season records were Florida, Georgia, and LSU...
Quit looking at the RPI and look at what the teams actually did on the field. Oregon State beat national title contenders...Clemson beat no one worth mentioning.

I remember Oregon State's seeding being discussed. I agree that Clemson had a slightly better case. Oregon State can still host a super regional series if Cemson goes down in the first round.

Some teams could get lucky some weekends and sweep the #1 team, yet do they deserve it if they lose 2 of 3 from a sub-100 team the next weekend. NO WAY. The numbers are as close to as perfect of a ranking of a team's schedule and Clemson's schedule is #1.
