I went to the EA Sports website and didn't see anything for a game being made in 2008

There not making the game this year. The contract with the NCAA ran out, there's talks about it coming back next year though.

Yeah, EA Sports said they're gonna wait and try anf figure out the game for 2009. Hopefully more platforms, and better development. It seems like all they did last year was switch around team ratings and just put all the same players in diff. uniforms.

Ive heard a lot of sports games are either coming back or dropping. I dont think theres a great MLB game from what Ive heard (the bigs, and something else). Also, there's supposedly a new NFL game coming out next year.

and... I played the game ('07) with different teams (UNO, Tulane, Fullerton, Dirtbags, etc.) several times and I noticed that everytime I play a single game, it is always the staff ace who would pitch for either team. For next year hopefully, they should let the player choose a starting pitcher for the team he/she will play.

actually you were able to do that....before you started a game you could set the next SP by pressing square if I remember correctly.

That game was terrible. GREAT idea but the gameplay was medicore at best. I bought both of them nonetheless because I LOVE college baseball. And yes, they did switch all the ratings from 2006 to 2007 and the players stayed on the same team. In the 2006 game, the rosters were from 2005 for some reason. I hope they come out with a legit MVP 2009 game (with a full 56 game schedule of course).

MVP baseball has better gameplay than any of the other baseball games. I hope they come out with another game next year.

Never played 07, do have 06 though. Their refusal to include Olsen Field was reason enough not to shell the money out for the game... that is if I had a PS2 since the nuts made it exclusive.
I liked 06 though. My only gripe was the terribly structured schedule. Made me wonder if they had even done any research for the game. Three game weekend + one or two midweek games. That's how the bulk of college baseball is scheduled. Get it right.

Get it right. you definatly wouldn't like 07 then...only 45-48 regular season games with barely any weekday games. and a bunch of conference 2 game series.
