Name's Chad. I'm a Georgia Southern Eagle sports fan (Yes, contrary to popular belief, we play something besides football).

Hey, I'm a Freshman and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I have lived in Nebraska my whole life from the small town of Dodge, 700 people, 14 in graduating class. I'm a fan of the Huskers and Creighton Bluejays, I have to admit I don't know that much about college baseball because it is hard to follow since there's no games on tv. But I should be able to post a lot about the Huskers because I'll be going to all their home games.

My name is Wesley, and I am a ... never mind. I am a 2004 Lamar grad (Chemical Engineering), and I have spent 85% of my life near Beaumont, TX. My dad was also a Lamar grad, and when no other part of the athletic program was worth watching, he'd bring me to the ballpark to watch baseball. I guess you can say I'm just carrying on a family tradition.

My name is James. I am a doctoral student at KU working on a dissertation about France during the WWII era. I worked for 13 years in the “real world” before taking the plunge and going back for my PhD so I am very old, 40. I have been writing about the KU baseball team for a bit over a year now at the blog RockChalkTalk.com.
One of my favorite parts of life is going to baseball games here on campus. Hoglund Park is beautiful. I sit in the stands, follow the game, get a bit of grading or reading done. Visit with friends. I’ve gotten to know some of the player’s families. It is a great break from what otherwise is a busy and stressful week. I make it to about 25 of so college games a year. If you are ever coming to Lawrence for a game shoot me a line.
So, I am a homer. I root for the Jayhawks. I know they will not dominate in Omaha this year, but I am sure the vast majority of my comments will be about my beloved Hawks. I follow the Big-12 fairly closely as well, and have some knowledge about other programs in the region. Wichita State, Creighton, Missouri State, Oral Roberts, etc.
This is a nice forum. Glad it is here.

I take classes at Gulf Coast Research Lab in Ocean Springs, i actually rarely go to Hattiesburg, its about 2 hrs a way and PITA for classes, if we do have classes in Hattiesburg we take them via IVN (interactive video). But i do have tickets for USM vs ECU in April and will be going to USM vs South Alabama in May in Mobile (depending on work schedule) are they undergrad or grad student and which department? JQ, cool. i worked the "real world" for 5 years before going back.

I'm fairly new to college baseball as well. I've followed some of the College World Series the past two years, but other than that I didn't really pay much attention to college baseball before this season. I was basically the same as you just following MLB, although I didn't really follow much high school baseball. Anyway, I'll be here if you need my help, as much as I can provide anyway.
